Following the 6 key points of a marketing plan (Awareness, Interest, Evaluation, Trial, Adoption and Loyalty) now is the time to plan out your activity with your SMART objectives. And let’s not forget the 4 Ps (Product, Place, Price, Promotion) how do you stack up now and where do you need to be?

A marketing plan should always begin with a review of your current business performance and your ambitions for the next year, 5 years.  Review the market, your competitors, and carry out a good old-fashioned SWOT as to where you believe you currently are with your marketing activity.

One of the most important, but also one of the most overlooked stages. Your customers’ needs and opinions are always changing, now is the time to ask the relevant questions as to how they feel about your brand and proposition. Are there opportunities that you are missing? What is their experience of your brand, your competitors brands and do you stand out?

A time to review the full customer journey – we don’t want anyone falling through the gaps!

Keep your finger on the pulse! Review your SMART objectives, tweak and change activity to deliver the right results. Monthly and quarterly check-ins are critical to a successful marketing plan.
